Women leading AI
An educational network for women who want to use AI and take the lead on it. We build competence and a network, and share insights, successes and failures along the way. It starts with an intensive full day and continues with one meeting a month.
Most of the people driving the AI agenda today are men, while women use AI considerably less in their work than men do.
We women should of course be part of shaping how this change happens, rather than just being affected by it.
The imbalance has been highlighted in several studies, and I have seen it consistently myself over three years and hundreds of company visits working in this field. Some say it is down to a lack of interest. I say it has more to do with context.
In workplaces where the technology is discussed, tested and shared, women are more often on the outside, and we more often hold roles with fewer opportunities to see how others work with AI in practice. The consequence is that the competence gap is growing, right now, every day.
This we know: our workplaces will look different in five years, and our job descriptions will not contain the same tasks.
Right now, the positions are being formed for how AI will be used in Swedish companies. Those who build competence now will lead the development and shape how we work going forward. The decisions and the direction should come from more perspectives and equal representation.
Kvinnor leder AI was created to change that: to support women, through continuous learning, in taking a bigger place in the development, in a setting where we share experiences, difficulties and lessons learned. Your place, and ours, is a given!

This is where we lay the foundation: an understanding of how AI technology works and what it affects, insights into how organisations and business are changing, and how you take your organisation forward. AI is bigger than tools and features, and this is where we build the shared strength to act.

In June 2027, all cities come together for a shared full day.
During the year your local network meets, learning and developing together. At the national meeting, the groups from all cities come together for shared discussions, learning sessions and guest speakers, and take part in each other's experiences and insights. A full day where we build a wider network and strengthen each other.

Anna Willstedt
Founder of Mindact and strategic business adviser with more than twenty years of experience in business and organisational development, change management and leadership. Named Innovator of the Year 2025 (Årets Nytänkare).
With one foot in governance and one on the floor, she has turned visions into strategies and practical action, driven by the conviction that everyone has abilities that, given the right conditions, contribute to both results and innovation.
For the past three years she has worked closely with companies through training, advisory work and strategic initiatives around AI, often side by side with management teams. Her focus is on moving AI from tools and features to strategic investments that create business value, through methods for understanding, using and getting results with AI.
Eight out of ten people in the teams driving the AI agenda are men. That imbalance needs to be evened out.

What do I get out of taking part?
An intensive and rewarding start day, eight meetings with themes that build on each other, a national meeting where all cities come together, a network of women in the same position and the confidence to drive the AI agenda in your organisation. The programme is led by Anna Willstedt, who in recent years has worked with AI training, advisory work and strategy alongside management teams and decision makers in companies of all sizes.
Who is the network for?
For now we are mainly addressing women in leading or driving positions, those who can influence how AI is used in their organisations. No technical background is required, we meet everyone where they are, and over time we will open the network more widely.
Can my employer get support for the cost?
There are several kinds of support to apply for, both national and local, for example skills support through TRR, regional vouchers through the region or Almi, and various foundations. If you would like to know more, you are welcome to contact us at kvinnorleder@mindact.ai.
How do I justify the place internally?
As professional development with direct business value. The network builds competence for the company's ongoing change work, strategies and the ability to judge which AI initiatives create value. Every month you bring home new knowledge, methods and other people's experience, and the continuous effort gives strength and impact for both you and the company in how you drive AI internally and what makes the investments pay off. The purpose of meeting is to make women more involved in the development of the organisation and to increase your AI capability. Per session, around SEK 2,500 for the network's nine sessions, the cost is well below an external course day, and the start day fits this year's budget while the network is not invoiced until January 2027. This is an investment in making women leaders stronger in the field and involved in driving the development.
How do the start day and the network fit together?
The start day is the way in, a standalone full day in your city in November or December 2026 for SEK 8,900 excluding VAT. If you want to continue, you register for the 2027 network for SEK 22,900 excluding VAT, with eight meetings in your city and the national meeting in June. You can register for both at once or decide after the start day, subject to places in your city's group.
What is the national meeting?
A full day where the networks from all cities meet for shared discussions, learning sessions and guest speakers. It takes place in June 2027 and is included in the 2027 network.
How large are the groups?
Ten to twenty women per city. Small enough for real conversations, large enough for a breadth of experience.
Is the network held in Swedish or English?
Both work. We adapt the language to the group in each city. When you register, you tell us whether you prefer Swedish, English or have no preference.
What does the ambassador do?
Each city has an ambassador, a woman who takes part in the network herself, invites others and holds the group together locally.
What happens if I miss a meeting?
You always have access to the learning material, but the network's discussions and insights happen in the room.
Can several of us from the same company register?
Yes, make one registration per person. From the second participant from the same company, you get ten per cent off the 2027 network, mention it under Other information in the registration. The start day has the same price for everyone. The discount cannot be combined with other discounts.
